Best time to buy?

Hey guys ive been looking to get my first REAL setup ive been riding a shitty 100 dollar board with laughable bindings for 2 years. I was just wondering what the best time to buy would be spring, summer or start of next season? And if you guys could recommend a good setup for about 30% park 70% crusin around? med to light flex not TOO pricey, thanks guys

wait until the end of the season to get the best deals. all the big sites/stores will have some crazy sales in march when they want to dump all the seasons gear.

My friend got very nice deals at the end of the season like others mentioned but you can also just watch out for random sales online.

If you want a good deal but also want to be able to use the gear this season, Sierrasnowboard has always had a one day 40% off sale around the beginning or middle of February. Its 40% 2010 gear, and last year it went something like: Monday, 40% off new boards- Tues, 40% off bindings, Wed boots, etc. Thats when I buy my gear, great price plus you can use the gear for at least about 2 months.

Or the end of the year sale on Sierrasnowboard right before new years. Don't quote me, but something like 40% off.

You could always check the outlets on the major sites as well. They will have seconds and previous years models for good prices but end of year you will definitely find some killer deals.

Don't go where the road leads, rather go where this is no road and make a trail.

You can almost always find great deals on a "last year" model board, sierra, the-house, backcountry/dogfunk -- those are the three places that I always check. As long as you don't mind a previous year model board (and there's absolutely nothing wrong about a brand new board that's been sitting in a warehouse for a few months)... Only thing is, you might not be able to find *exactly* what you're looking for
