Question New board.. too small?

So it's that time of year again.. and I'm pumped! I just learned last season so this season I need some new gear..

I found a pretty good deal on a Burton Deuce 09 snowboard so I bought it (I have until Jan 15th to return it if it's unused).

I would really like a second opinion here on the size (since I wont be able to return it once I ride it).

It's a 158cm and I am 6'1" 175lbs ...what is nice about the board is that it's wide.. so no heel or toe drag here. But is this board "too small" ? I used a beat up generic brand 160cm to learn on last year and that seemed fine. I know the smaller the snowboard, the slower.. But on the other hand, this board should be quality and generally faster (id expect) because of that.

Should I keep it, or look for something bigger?

Thanks in advance!
...Happy Riding...

perfect size for you. i'm the same weight and ride a 159 and consider it to be just right. and remember, the difference between a 160 and 158 is about the length of your thumbnail....no biggie.

Yep, 158 should be perfect for you. I'm about 15# heavier than you and ride a 160.
