True. Well, Greats is Camrock and TDF is their only true camber left now, if i recall correctly. So that may help narrow it down further, whichever profile you prefer more.

In the future, I have a feeling I would end up riding the greats more for the versatility, but, the TDF has that extra aggresive push & stability that the greats does not. I do have a jones moutain twin, which isn't out of the ballpark of similarity to the greats....so I still don't know D:

Thinking of picking a PYL up for my trip to Japan later this year, anybody have some experience with how it rides?
Also, 159 or '56 for a 75kg\165lbs?

I love mine but haven't had it in more than a few inches. Its an all mountain freeride deck that's pow friendly rather than a pow deck that can handle groomers. I love it though and it was the only deck I took on my last trip. Handled everything from ice to slush to dust on crust. Even runs through the park. No waist deep so no input on that. It's nimble enough at slow speeds and just keeps pulling when you put the hammer down. Long drawn out carves feel sweet. I'm 85kg and my 61 is fit for purpose so 59 for sure and maybe even consider the 61 if you hope to see a lot of deep fluffy stuff.

I'll never give up my 420. If I break it I'll buy another. Rides like nothing else. With the fat tail there isn't much sinking in so it's very fast and loose. I only take it out on pow days with enough snow underneath so I don't fuck it up on something underneath

Ive taken my 2015 161w PYL to Japan a couple of times. Its an awesome board in pow and when there isn't any fresh it can still hit groomers and carve, jump, whatever you want it to do.
I will be taking it back in Jan this year.

Im also taking my 2017 Yes Optimistic too! I rode that for a couple of days earlier this month. I cant wait to test it out in Japow! It went really well in Australian snow. Had a morning of 20cms fresh and it feels like its upto the job! Carves sweet too!

As for size. Im 95kg's on a 161w PYL 157 Optimistic. I would rather have more board for deep pow!

Care to tell us more about the Optimistic @Clevocapri? General review of how it rides, even comparing it to the PYL would be great.
