Hey guys, I wanted to get into snowboarding but I don't have too much money to spend. I was looking on Kijiji and I found a "Burton Republik" snowobard with "Ride" bindings and "Vans Danny Kass" boots. The person wanted to sell them for $150.00. I was wondering if it was worth it or not, and if I were to get it, what should i offer. Here is the picture he posted on the ad with a description, thanks!!!!!!!

BURTON REBULIK 167 COMPLETE WITH RIDE BINDINGS AND VANS DANNY KASS 2 BOOTS SIZE 12 GREAT CONDITION RODE FOR ONE SEASON. NO REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE REFUSED.

Can't comment on the specific models, but a) I would never recommend buying boots without trying them on first b) 'Ride Bindings' is very vague... c) 167 is a friggin' huge board, especially for a beginner. Idk your build, but I doubt you'd be wanting something that big to start on. d) No need to be bumping your post (yet).

a) Why is that?
b) I'll try to ask him for more details and more pictures
c) I'm 5'3" and weigh 90 pounds. Is that board too big for me?
d) I didn't think anyone saw the thread

Ya listen to this guy he knows what hes talking about. I'd also ask to see an actual picture of the board bindings and boots. Im pretty sure they dont make this model anymore so its probly old.

If your 90 lbs then you can rule this board out of the question. You need something much much smaller to learn on. Maybe on the lower end of 140 cm

Hahahaha.. That board would be taller then you! Being 5' 3" 90 pounds I would look for a 148 and under.

I would think of even going under 148 because I'm around 125-130 and I ride a 148.

I have my well used ride catalyst board up for sale with burton bindings. There is cosmetic damage on the top and bottom of the board as ive been riding it for years but the board rides great. Im looking for 200 for both board and bindings but the price is or best offer, so if you want a good set up for a good price offer up.

i would agree that you dont wanna buy boots before trying them on.
each boot is made differently with different thicknesses of padding, etc...one company's size might fit you differently than the same size from another company.
boots will make or break your season.

also have to agree (with a bit of lol) on you being 90 pounds on a 167. that board will be controlling you.

these people are right...under 148 would be good.

i have to ask too...did you see that the boots in the original ad are a size 12?
are you really 5'3" at 90lbs with asize 12 shoe?
