how should it fit newbie needs help

Ok i got all my gear in this is what i got
164 2009 Burton Mayhem
2009 Rome Bodega 11Sz fits good
2008 Forum Recon (L)

6ft tall
sz 11 shoes
210lbs

i have not put the bindings in yet but just est. it looks like my boot hangs just a bit not more then 1in. what is hanging is not the part the flat part of the boot but the dome on the top part of the boot hope this makes sence. It almost look like it sits flat on the edge of the board. pls help since im new to the sport. is this normal?

Yes that is normal. I hope you aren't looking to do any park with that monster of a board. Another victim of the sales clerk..

Well, I mean it all has to do with what you are wanting to do with it. If you are just wanting to freeride It is good for you. If you wanted to do park then I would have said go for a 157 or 159 just to get a little more pop or flex out of it.

What's most important though is that you are happy with your board.

what i want to do is freestyle and some jumps. Im not to sure about park i will like to try it but that will be later on. I more interested in the all mtn maybe go around trees and like said jumps go FAST too

i did some research went and searched what size i need using generic charts. Used Burton sizing chart and what the sizing chart is for the Mayhem board should be. is

is there that much of a differnce between 159- 164 is measure cm's rt? is enough that it will effect it on turns and jumps and speed?

Freestyle = park, if you want all mountain and speed then you will be fine.

Bomb that mountain. Get comfortable with the board before trying any big jumps.
