Hi, I'm looking to buy a Gnu snowboard and I'd like some feedback/reviews from anyone who has had experience with these boards. I'm a beginner/intermediate level rider who prefers all-mountain/freestyle/park. I'm 5 foot 2, 100 lb, and a womens size 6 boot. I'd like a 139-142 cm true twin. I moved from the ice coast to Colorado this year, so I'll be going snowboarding a lot more often with a season pass and hopefully progressing in the park.
How is the BTX/rocker technology on Gnu boards? Right now, I'm looking at a 2016 Gnu B-Nice Flight 139 (top contender), a 2015 Gnu Girl Gateway 141, a 2016 Gnu Smart Pickle 140, and a used 2012 Gnu B-Street 141.
I've always wanted a Gnu board (especially for the BTX tech, although I won't be on ice as often now) and finally have the money for it. I'm certainly open to other suggestions though
I'm a guy, so I can't help you out too much about board choices, but have heard some good things about Capita's Birds of a Feather board. At least last years model. I own a GNU Billy Goat which is a lot of fun and after a season on it (and other Lib Tech boards) it seems to be holding up well. Hopefully, some of the ladies here will chime in and I'm pretty sure there's at least one girl that rides a GNU board, I can't remember her name though. Good luck with your search.
p.s.

Do you mean the magnetraction aka the 7 points of contact and the serrated edges on the sides of the board? I only ask since you said ice?
I've heard great things about Capita's boards as well. Birds of a Feather is a solid all mountain board. What about Space Metal Fantasy?
Yeah, I'm referring to the magenetraction (points of contact). Do they feel very "grabby"?
Any reason why you don't list probably their most well known board, the ladies choice? If you have more than a few seasons under your belt don't be scared of it being too much board. You'll adapt to it. If you're really looking for a board that you can take anywhere I think it fits the bill. The smart pickle for example would be great for your park days, but leave you wanting outside of it. I'll let the ladies who actually have it pipe in, but my understanding is it'll put a smile on your face no matter where you take it.
The ladies choice is asymmetrical and on the longer side, which I was not exactly looking for. I heard it's an awesome board though. I agree about the smart pickle since it's geared for park riding and I need something more versatile.

Did a little research and now I'm leaning towards last year's Capita Birds of a Feather 140. Seems like many people who have switched from Mervin boards to this one prefer its stability, park and powder performance, and lighter weight.
Thanks for the tips, guys. Just got my 2016 birds of a feather for $240 new off of ebay. Can't wait til it comes in the mail! Would Burton Lexa bindings be a good fit?
