Thanks to a heads up to one of our own, I got a sweet board for a sweet deal. An Atomic Radon CT 164. Makes me laugh the CT stands for "camel toe" technology haha.
The board is in great shape, in fact better than I was expecting. There is just one moth sized hole in the first layer top sheet right by the front left insert. Thinking just some resin or epoxy, something easy should be a decent fix. Other than that it has a summer wax job on it, and the seller showed up with it strapped in a board bag, so I know the guy took good care of his stuff.
The board is nice and stiff and looks to be straight up camber, just how I like them. Looks to be a fairly aggressive sidecut. Surprisingly enough there is little to no taper, both nose and tail widths come in at 31cm might be a few mm difference. Then of course the tail is the main attraction. I can only guess how it will ride but it makes the tail section pretty flexy.
The wife had a nice freakout when I told her I might get another board "You already have three beautiful boards and cant afford it money money money blah blah blah blah" Yeah just needed a longer than what I got mid size pow deck and for $100 HOW could I afford not to buy it. A day later she calmed down and I assured her I can swing it and still make the mortgage payments. Can't wait till I fill the quiver out with the 170 pointy nose monster.
