I'm leaving for Colorado on the 2nd, and I ordered a new 2009 Custom online last Sunday and Cartel EST bindings from a different website. I just checked my email, and it turns out that the board was out of stock when I bought it even though the order went through. So this completely screwed me over since I already bought the $200 bindings to go with the board, and I can't find the same board for anywhere near the price I paid before. I did find last years Custom X for the same price though. I originally didn't want the X just because it was stiffer, but since I can get one new for $350 that seems like a total steal. Should I just jump on that?

350 for a Custom X is a steal, thats what I pay for the pro price. It is an insane board. Not as much all around designed as compared to the custom. I love it for charging down hills or laying out a carve. Just understand it is geared more towards freeriding than freestyle compared to the custom. If that is fine with you then go for it.

As long as it's still works for jumps I don't mind it. I've never been a big rail guy, but I love hitting big jumps in the park. I do prefer freeride though, especially out west (I'm from Illinois) so I think I'm going to pick this up. Thanks for the input.

If you're not a jibber, than the CX is definitely the way to go. It's a fast aggressive weapon that is incredibly stable at high speeds. No chatter what so ever. I love mine. And it's the shit on the jump line. If you like fast, aggressive, hard-charging riding, floating over pow, and airing it out off kickers, get this board. Especially for $350.
However, if you're looking for something that ollies easy, butters, and jibs, then buy it for $350, and sell it for $500

Great board. I love mine. Like it was said before, this is a super quick board and very stable. It is also very stiff but it wasn't so much that it was unbearable.
