Hey there.
I'm an 18 year old 6ft 2 (180cm) roughly 170 lbs (80kg) pretty decent snowboarder. I've been boarding for about 9 years going for a month or so of riding every year. My problem is i haven't ever bought my own board, always renting one. But my parents have told me i can chose a board + bindings as a christmas present. I enjoy riding switch and ride allover the mountain splitting my time between backcountry, park, and off piest powdery stuff mostly. I've been looking around and found these board that i like; - K2 Brigade (159) - Humanity Republique (156) - Bataleon Aerobic (159) - 5150 Imperial (158) any thoughts on them? or just any pointers/hints that you think might be helpful would be appreciated! Thanks = ] |

Whoa dude, cheers for the speedy reply!
that's pretty cool cos i've got some friends in cambridge uni, so spent some time over that way. : ] I haven't really touched on bindings yet, still looking to get the board right first, but i'll keep them in mind for when i do. This is probably my fault for not saying eariler but i am really looking to spend a max of £300 on the board and then £150 on the bindings, but thanks for the sugestions anyway! = ] |

What sort of budget are you looking at? With no budget I would personally go for a Neversummer SL-R with Ride NRC bindings. No matter the budget I would avoid "walmart" brands like 5150, Head, Morrow, Lamar, and Humanity. Look for boards with mid range flex and have rocker. Checkt this review sight. The Angry Snowboarder He is damn near your same weight so his reviews will be pretty accurate for you.
edit: damn I need to research faster because I got treed by 15 minutes. |

300 pounds is about 480.00 dollars. You should be able to pick up one of those boards for that
