Default Suggestion on Lib Tech Skunk Ape help

Whats up everyone. Well I just moved back from a 3 year stay in Hawaii and I am needing to get a new board setup. I already got the bindings and boots taken care of but need some input on the board. I am 5'11 190-200, size 11.5 boot. I decided on getting the Lib Tech Skunk Ape, but was trying to figure out the size I should get since I know the Banana Rocker rides different from what I hear. On a normal board I would ride probably a 160, but was told by the shop here a 157W skunk ape would be best for me since, as the guy said, it rides bigger because its a wide and the banana rocker will float well. Now that I am back I will mostly ride the Southern California mountains, but will be going up to the family's place in Tahoe when I can to get powder. Basically looking for a size that will give me good all mountain riding. So should I go for the 157W or go for the 161W ??

I'm pretty much your same size at 200, but I wear a size 13. How much park you looking to do? I'd probably go 157W if its more than 50/50, if anything less than that in park I'd suggest going 161W.

It looks like the waist width is the same on both so it may just come down to what your most comfortable with. You mention your used to riding a 160 so sizing down to a 157W is doable, should ride about same "length wise" because of the tech.

Not too familiar with the Skunk Ape, I ride an 08/09 Dark Series 161W and its awesome for all mountain, I think the Skunk Ape is a tad softer but still on the stiff side so it would seem you'll be leaning more towards freestyle/freeride. Whatever you decide, have fun on the new stick.
