Exclamation Right board and board size for me

Hey all,

I have a few years experience boarding, but am planning to really hit the slopes this season as I am finally out of college with a job and closer than ever before to the snow ( I live near Seattle, WA ).

What size and type of board should I get if I am 6'3, 200 lbs, 23 years old and do 50/50 park and groomed rides?

I am also looking for suggestions in terms of brands and boards to get. Although I haven't used them before, Flow bindings look good and come recommended from a friend who has them. I want to invest in a nice board/bindings package, possibly spending 700$.

Thanks all!

1st off get fitted for snowboard boots... find something comfortable not matter if its the cheapest. Boot more important thing to be comfortable in. What snowboard boot size are you?

boot size will make a difference in the boards we suggest for you because we need to determine whether you need a wide deck or not

Ok, Rome Slash would be my choice for your described riding. It's the wide version of the Agent. You could also take a look at the Atomic Alibi Wide, Nitro MFM Wide, GNU 11up or the LibTech Dark Seriew Wide.

I personally think the Slash is the way to go for you though

with your height / weight, you should be looking low to mid 160's.

I'd say somewhere between 158 and 163 based on your weight. Where do you ride? Are you on the east or west coast? I ask because if your free riding will involve more poweder you may want to look at the higher end, if your on the east you can get away with a little shorter board...I'd probably go 160/161 though

Yeah, I always forget that people who don't live on the Ice Coast actually have something called "snow."
