Hi all -
I just got an 08 Neversummer premier 157. I rode a buddy's last season and loved it. I'm looking to get bindings for it now and narrowed my choices. I'm hoping you can give me some input/opinions. I do freeride/all mountain right now only because i'm an intermediate rider. I'm looking to continue to increase my skills this winter. I'd like to eventually try out parks, however will start looking to doing jumps during FR first. Here are the bindings I've narrowed down to: No particular order: 1) Burton Customs 2) Burton Cartels 3) Ride RX 4) Rome Targa or 390s. Assume this season I'm going to do 90% FR and 5-10% park (trying out the park is more accurate). I'm looking to improve my riding and incorporate Freeriding/all mtn jumps this season. Which of the bindings do you believe will fit the bill? I'm not sure if I want to stay with an All mountain specific or move to a more versatile binding that will allow me to jump and improve in that area too. Thanks much. I can't wait to fit bindings on my board!! Also I hear a lot of great things about the Targas and 390s. However I hear mixed opinions on which is more for park and which is more for FR. Which of the two is stiffer? I'm an intermediate rider so I don't want to be on my butt all day. Then again, I'd rather have the one that will most likely elevate me to the next level. Off that list I would go with the 390's for what you're looking to do. The Targas are stiffer and more fr oriented than the 390's. From Ride I'd look at the Delta MVMT rather than the RX if you're looking for all-mountain freestyle versatility...
