as much as i have fun doing park sometimes i enjoy doing freeride just carving down the slopes.
So i'm asking if you guys can recommend me a board that does really well when carving, preferably pricing under $500. sorry i forgot to add that i am 5' 4 155 pounds boot size 9 Last edited by longleglongfoot; 01-04-2010 at 01:24 AM. |

+1 the Custom X is a great free-ride board. Keep in mind that the ICS will force you to buy an Burton EST binding. You can go the conversion plate route, but that will effectively render the ICS useless.
Consider rockered boards too. Rockered boards make great park boards as well as freeriding. Custom V-Rocker Ride DH 2 Lib Tech Skate Banana GNU CHB BTX NeverSummer makes good boards too, but others will have to chime in for this brand since I have no experience with them. Oh, I forgot to say... go for a 154 or 155cm board. Shorter for more park, longer for more powder. At your measurements, I would personally do a 154. Last edited by Leo; 01-04-2010 at 09:57 AM. |
