Hi!

I finally decided on the board I want to buy, but still need a bit of advice on sizing.

I'm 74 kg (163 lbs) and 1.80 m (5'10"), boot size 9,5 and ride both powder (steep lines, open bowls, etc) - 70% and groomers (hard carving) - 30%.

What would you choose between the YES PYL 159 and the 162? Is there a big difference in terms of float and maneuverability between the two?

Thanx,

At your weight and what you aim to ride, I'd go 162. More edge, more fun carving.

Maneuverability of 3cm length won't make a big difference, it's rather the width which plays a role there, but your feet seem large enough to cope with 3mm more width. But you gain 3cm more edge and this is sure an advantage for carving.

I would say the choice comes down to:

Priority # 1 for some people is bomb and carve = 162

Priority # 1 for others is trees and agility = 159

Both are going to do a fantastic job for you. Great times ahead no matter which one you select.

'm about 5'9", 185lbs without gear on, size 9 ThirtyTwo TM Two boots, and I'm on the PYL 159. It fits my measurements and riding style (all mnt freeride ) perfectly for reference sake.

As per your question, the differences between the 159/62 are going be marginal, but that said, if you're regularly in a lot of pow - get the 62.
