ride kink, dh or capita stairmaster? - Snowboarding Forum

hi
im thinking of buying a new snowboard and iv been looking into ride kink, ride dh and capita stairmaster.
i ride mostly park and medium sized kickers, little pow too.
so i have a few questions i would like to get some answers on

is the ride kink too soft for going high speed or doing like up to 30 ft kickers? is it like made only for jibbing in the park?
and is it softer than the capita horrorscope FK ?
id also like to know what board is best for all round park/jump/pow board of these three boards?

so mainly im asing what board is best for some jib, hitting kickers and some pow.
im open for other suggestions tho

I can tell you that the Kink is softer than the Capita 2010 FK.

tried my m8s horrorscope and it was a great board, but im not getting a softer board then the horrorscope.
guess maybe i should leave out the kink then

I've owned the Kink, Stairmaster and an older DH. If you must choose between those 3 boards, I'd go with the DH. The kink is awesome in the park, but I didn't feel stable landing something like a 40 footer. The kink held up okay for light cruiser days, but its far too noodley for what you're wanting. The Stairmaster is a great board too, but I personally like the DH better.

by the way: what size should i get?
im about 5,8 and 130lbs
thought of 152, or 151 for the dh.
will this be a good size for me?

You could do a 148, 151 or 154. I like to ride the shortest board possible for my weight in the park, but since you'll be doing a bit of everything, a 151 should be fine.

I recommend the DH in 151. Gonna have more pop than either of the other two but still a decent jib board. Its a really good board.

uhm i cant seem to find any ride dh in 151 :s
i live in norway and there isnt any snowboard site or shop that i can find who has got ride dh in 151 at the moment, and i need a new board as fast as possible.
so im thinking of ride machete?
any opinions on ride machete compared to ride dh?
and what would you recommend if it was either capita stairmaster or ride machete?

Machete>DH>Stairmaster. If you like Capita, consider a horroscope instead of a stairmaster

yeah i thought of the horrorscope, but like 3 of my m8s rides horrorscopes, so i dont feel like being a copycat and pick up the board that like 2-3 guys that i ride with has got already. :S
anyway, you would recommend the machete over the dh for like all around freestyle board for like both jibbing and hitting kickers with?
