Default Intermediate help with setup !!

Im wondering what a good board is for an adventurous intermediate (5 years of riding 6-7 times a year). I have noticed a really high progression in my riding over the last year but what I've also noticed is that riding my old Burton Blunt/Primo is similar to riding a smart car during Hurricane Katrina at higher speeds.
I am looking for an all mountain board that will hold from edge to edge cleanly while ripping down the mountain (but still have some forgiveness cuz im relatively new).
Can afford to spend upwards of $500-600.

Custom X won't have as much forgiveness as most other boards. I love the X. It is one of the best carving boards out there. You could probably get the X and be fine. Just be ready for a shock when you forst ride it (think going from a full size van to a Lambo). Here is a review of the Feelgood ES (women's Custom X) that my sister did. My thoughs are pretty much the same on the X.
