I just started riding and decided to get my first board because I have a friend who is looking to sell his. The board is a 174cm Never Summer Legacy 2008 mid-wide. It has been ridden 10 times. It comes with 2008 Rome Targa Bindings and Burton Driver X boots size 13. I am 6'2, 225 lbs, size 12 shoe. I am wondering if this board is too big for me or not. It only comes up to my lips. Also since the boot is one size bigger, will I probably have issues with this? What do you think? He wants $470 for the lot.

if you just started riding, even at your weight, 174 is a lot of board. i would be looking more around 166 if i were you. if you are a size 12, don't buy size 13 boots. buy size 12 boots that fit correctly.
i know this might look like a deal but if the gear is not right for you, it's going to be a complete waste of money. alasdair |

Size matters for your weight, not height. 174 is pretty long for a beginner. But with your size, it's a good deal if you can master it.
