5 Year Hiatus & Getting Back...???

After 5 years of not snowboarding...

I am finally thinking of coming back to snowboarding and I want to come back riding harder and better than I ever did before...

When I started way back in 2002-2003...Positive Camber was all that there was...And the shapes were pretty much a standard park shape with twin nose/tails.

Now-a-days...There are all kinds of camber options and shapes to choose from...Its really confusing

But at the same time...I think its a great direction for the snowboard industry and it makes snowboarding that much more fun to get back into for veterans and even beginners a like.

Which one of these should I start with...

1. Regular Positive Camber from contact point to contact point.

2. Positive Camber between inserts, Rocker Camber from inserts to nose/tail

3. Rocker Camber between inserts, Positive Camber from inserts to nose/tail

I figured since I started with positive camber...that I should go with option 1...than experiment with the other 2 options as I progress back into it.

But at the same time...these new camber hybrid options make so much 'sense' now and I believe might even make getting back into snowboarding that much more fun and make progression faster..no...?

If that's the case...Should I go option 2 or 3...?

Any suggestion or tips would be greatly appreciated. Apologies for the long thread.

If you already ride well and know camber, get camber. Full Rocker has no place in the world of higher level snowboarding except MAYBE straight pow boards. RCR or CRC are ok and have a place in the world, but for what your going to use it for camber is king....

Yeah me too. just got a Rome Blur that has camber with the tips rockered . Only been on hard pack so havent noticed the rockered tips at all. Just love the pop coming out of a turn a cambered board gives. I had a K2 Slayblade with their flatline tech and it just didnt have much pop coming out of a turn. Just slide the bindings back on a pow day and keep your speed up and they work fine in pow. Also have a Snowtrooper but much prefer the Blur.
