Weight: 200
Height: 6’2”
Boot: 12 to 13 US
Skill: Intermediate – 7 years
Time spent: 70% trails, 25% trees, 5% backcountry/powered/etc. Very little to no park.
Environment: North Eastern hard pack, ice, groomed, etc. Some powder.

Current board: Burton Blunt 195w
Current bindings: Burton Cartel – Large

Looking for:

- More grip on my edges on ice/hard pack, I wash out to often on these conditions.
- More response from my board.
- Quicker boot in time.
- Less likely to get stuck in powder in trees.
- Same or more responsiveness in trees.

Looking at:

- Lib Tech TRS or T. Price Pro HP
- Flow NX2 or NX2-GT bindings

Most of my friends currently have Flow bindings and GNU or Lib Tech boards with magne-traction and they are very happy with them. They have commented that they work well for the North Eastern conditions. The sizes I am looking at are 159mw, 161.5mw, or 165 for the Lib Tech boards. I am thinking that the TP 161.5 would be the best but it seems like that board is currently sold out everywhere until next year. I could go with a 159 or 165 but I am not sure if they are too small or too big. Also I am going from a soft/medium setup to a pretty stiff one, so I am bit worried about that too.

Any thoughts if I am going in the right direction here or suggestions on board size would be much appreciated.
