While still kicking, my Burton Custom '97, Atlantis Freeride '98, and Nidecker Megalight '99 are in for a off-spring.
So if you want to really blow my mind of what has been happening in the last two decades, which board should I go for?

I'm based in Sweden, so any too exotic brands/boards might be hard to come by.

THX!

Sounds like you have traditional camber profile boards covered nicely. It might be fun to add a hybrid camber board, like a camber rocker camber, to your collection. In the past 10 years the industry has made some big changes to board technology. The changes are real, not just window dressing. They are so real that the ski companies have taken notice and adopted these new technologies for the two plankers. The biggest changes have been in the camber profiles, flex patterns, and sidecut geometries. While a true camber board (like the ones you already own) is the best thing for high speed control and big turns, some of the new technologies can be very playful and fun for cruising the mountain. You're also going to find that the materials used and the overall fit and finish of a new board will be remarkably better than that of boards from the late 90s. I can't tell you exactly what to look at because there are so many choices.

This sticky may help to get an overview: http://www.snowboardingforum.com/boards/37496-rocker-camber-everything-between.html

But be prepared that you'll be more confused the more you read :). Also the recommendations of ppl will enhance the confusion cos opinions and personal preferences for different shapes are different. Lol, in the end you'll buy many boards. This forum is full of gear whores, and it's sort of addictive :).

Best thing is to give a detailed as possible description of your riding style and terrain/snow conditions, then we can give you some hints on potential boards; then go out and try to demo. Only you will know if a certain shape feels good to you.
