Looking for a comparable Burton...

Hey guys,

I have become really interested in a Skate Banana or an Evo-R for next season but don't want to have to spring for new bindings as the ones I have now are EST's for my X8. I was wondering which burton boards might be comparable to those? I was interested in the ConDom because of the freebase, or possibly a Fix, but am not sure if something else would be better. I'm just looking to try one of these hyped rocker boards as I'm still riding the old school camber.

Any advice?

if you just want to try a board don't buy it. find a friend who has one or demo one at a store...

I've heard good reviews about the Burton Joystick and it's V-Rocker pattern. You'd probably also have similar luck with the Fix as well. Both are Rocker type and very soft, so you'll mimic the feeling of the other boards.

I've heard Burton kills baby seals to make EST's. I'm just saying...

There aren't really places around here to get a demo from. Living in the midwest is pretty tough for snowboarding.

Joystick, Fish, hell even a custom V-Rocker.

The Easy Livin Flying V looks real nice too. I can't wait to demo that one

Fish? Fish is a directional S-Rocker. Not really for what I'm looking to do at all.

The rest qualify... just wondering if anybody has had any experience with like a skate banana/evo and a 2010 fix or 2010 condom.

ohhh ok haha yeah so far it looks like I'm gonna go with the Fix. I'm just trying to figure out what is going to give me the most "edge-less" feel. Freebase, P-Rocker, or V-Rocker

There are a ton of mix reviews on the joystick, it seems like people either love it or hate it. The custom v rocker might be a safer choice.
