Snowboard length/width affects ride - Snowboarding Forum

Can someone explain what a longer affects the ride? Say the manufacturer recommends 150-155 for my size, how do I make a choice of 150 or 155 base on my riding style? Same question for a wide board? What does that affect the ride versus a regular width board?

wide board if your feet are 11 up

boards flex different, thats why there are different suggestions

Do you wanna freeride or freestyle? If freeride go longer, freestyle shorter, All mountain middle.
