Bataleon Fun Kink - Right for me?

Hi, Ive been snowboarding for 5 years, only one week a year tho. Im guna go to d alps for d rest of dis season nd need a board. Found a 153 2008 Bataleon Fun Kink with sp argon bindings for $200, only used for a week.

Wondering if any of ye more experienced snowboarders could help me...

I'm 6ft2" nd 180 pounds. Ill be spendin a lot more time in d park this time, wana learn to get tech on jibs more so than big jumps nd love learnin d butters. I'm a sponsored skateboarder so snowboardin comes qiute easy to me. Id say ill be 1/3 at d park, 1/3 piste, 1/3 back country.

Is a 153 way too small? would i strugle in pow?

Good deal tho... I really like d sound of dis Triple Base

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would say that board is too small for you. Fun.Kink is bataleon's softest board...and a 153 is going to be pretty much a noodle at your weight.

There's a bataleon Evil Twin 155 here that would be better for you. Not only is it a little longer, but ETs are slightly stiffer, too. Also $200 (delivered...no extra shipping), but only used 4 days...this is a better board all around.

Thanks for your reply.

Ye was thinkin a soft 153 is a bit much. Would you say somthin about 155-157 would be the best size for me?

I was lookin at d evil twin too but think i might have to splash out for a lib tech skate banana... looks real nice.

Any more comments would help.

Thanks

i've tryed out a evil twin and can say that it will handle what you throw at it! Imo the 'nanner lacks pop, which ET has lots of!

The Fun Kink is super soft, and 153 is way short for your height/weight. That's a great board and size for the park, but you will be swimming in the backcountry. There's really no such thing as a board that is a park noodle and can still kill it in deep pow. I can suggest other Bataleon boards if you can afford to buy 2 boards at once. If it has to be just one, an Evil Twin 155 or Goliath 157 would do a much better do-it-all choice.

16 Capita BSOD . 16 NS West . 15 NS Snowtrooper BIA . 13 Salomon Pow Snake
15 Now Drive . 14 Burton Genesis
14 Flow Hylite

Thanks for d replies.

Wot u think 155 ET or 156 skate banana?

Do the boards change much over the years? Like would a 2008 model be much different to a 2010?
