Help with board width

Hi, I am wondering what width I need for my size 14 boot. I was interested in the Sierra Team Snowboard 2010, but it says that the width is only 253mm. Is that wide enough for my boot? Or do I need to buy a specifically wide board?

definitely a wide board. you don't really have an option. size 11 is pretty much the cutoff. even then you would need a fairly low profile boot to get away with most non wide boards. look for something with around a 26.5

how much do you weigh? how tall are you? begginer, intermediate?

the 165w has a waist of 26.2

Im about 5'11 and I weigh about 205lbs. Whenever I rent a board, I usually get around a 157 I think, so is the 165 too long for me?

if you're looking for a pure freeride bomb down the mountain board i would go with a 163-165ish board. if you want something all mountain that you can still fly down a hill with but perhaps dabble in the park with, look for something more like 159-162. also if you're more on the beginner side of things a shorter length might suit you a bit better.

so is 26cm wide enough for me though? The longest board I was looking at was 160, I dont really want to get anything too much longer than 157. Is that Burton Clash I posted earlier wide enough for me?
