Suggest a board?

New to snowboarding. Can someone suggest a board for a beginner? What brand, what price should I expect? Most of my riding will be local hills around home just for recreational riding. Dont live anywhere close to big slopes.

wait for the big sales at the end of feb and later. If anything like last year, you should be able to pick up an omatic for way under $100

Nope, that would be like buying a Pentronics DVD player. Ever heard of them? Me neither..

He suggested that board because you seem to only want to ride occasionally (2-3 times a season). If you plan on going more than that, than you might want to go for this one - Sierra Crew - Snowboards Reviews & Sale | SierraSnowboard.com - It's made by Burton and is of amazing price value.

Free ship to the U.S and it's a very reliable website btw.

Well, I probably wont ride but 3-5 times per year, but I dont want a total crap board. If I could stay within $150 and get a decent board, that's what I'm looking for. Doesnt need to be top of the line.
