Cracked Top - Snowboarding Forum

So I went boarding yesterday in some pretty crappy conditions, barely any snow, and a base of ice right under. I jumped and landed badly, and when I got back up and looked at my board, the top layer of laminate stuff was cracked.
I'm hoping that since it's the top, it shouldn't really matter too much, am I right?

OUCH man!! At least the crack is sideways rather than downwards..

If it's just top sheet, it shouldn't really matter. Check to make 100% sure the crack isn't any deeper though.

Might wanna find a way to seal the crack as to not let any water get in there and mess up the core. Marine grade epoxy maybe.

You dont mention how old the board is?

Possibly warranty? Dunno thats pretty gnarly ....i would definitely get some epoxy in there somehow and let it set for a day or two in a dry place...
If it already made it through the top sheet its half way to snapping off next hit without some TLC...

It's a Burton Face from '07, about 30 days on the slopes.
I've been thinking that I should just take it to a shop to get it fixed, rather than doing the epoxy myself, since it seems like it'd be hard to fill in the crack.
