Anyone ride ARTEC boards? --- Im torn... - Snowboarding Forum

between buying the Nima Jalali or the Gabe Taylor. I want freeride but still hit some good jibs and some good air...

Anyone?

BUMP....any thoughts on ARTEC..i was in a local shop, and they were hyping this brand...i can hardly find ingfo on them.

From what I've heard.. Artec is the latest M3 company. Millennium boards went a while ago, then they made M4 and now it's Artec. I haven't heard any members say good things about M3/M4/Artec... I heard they USED to be good... but I wouldn't bank on it.

-Aka these are Cheap boards.

Elan's more freestyle oriented son. So good quality and they have a decent team. I'd go for a Nima, PopRocker, or Figment.

Not quite. M3 did turn into M4 but they were never Artec. People just seem to associate the three cause Nima and I think Taylor were on M3/4 then Artec.

doesn't the elan/artec factory in austria make a lot of the best boards? I think bataleons are made there and some other big names (capita?).

I don't know, first hand, about elan's designs (although I have heard they're some of the best boards available), but the factory's board construction is among the best in the world

A guy I ride with rode last years Gabe Taylor. Hated it. Too much chatter and for whatever reason didn't seem to hold wax that well...(his words). Anyway this year he went to Capita.
