I'm debating between the Evo-R 153 or the SL-R 155, and right now I'm leaning towards the Evo because I like a centered stance over directional. But I'm not sure if you can center the stance on the SL-R. I'm 5'7" 170 lbs, pretty novice rider, which is one reason I like the centered, because it puts me less in the backseat because I tend to lean back as a newbie anyways.

That's the wrong reason to center a stance. Fix yourself, not your board. Don't get into bad habits early and you won't have to break them later.

I agree, but I still do like the centered stance better, especially because I would like to start getting into the park and riding switch and whatnot.

So maybe I'm just retarded and am not getting this. Basically what I don't get is whether or not the SL-R is a twin or not. SO basically, the Evo is the same tail and nose length, so you have a centered stance. But then the pop is also twin on the Evo? But not on the SL-R. I guess I don't get the difference between twin and directional, and how it applies to these two boards.

In regards to the the sl-r, it deals with the location of the insert packs in relation to the nose and tail. That's what makes it a directional-twin.

yes you can center the stance. I'm centered on the one I'm riding. it does just refer to the location of the inserts
