I'm trying to peice together a "tuning kit" based on what I've seen recommanded in the stickies, but I can't seem to find any retailers that carry that type of stuff. I went through all the links in the "Canadian E-tailers" thread and none of them sell the stuff I'm looking for. So where do you Canadian ridders buy your tunning tools? I'm located in Ottawa. I don't mind brick&mortar store, but I love doing stuff online, this is 2010 after all...

I'm looking at doing wax work. Only edge tuning for the moment.

Or can something like this do everything I need?

2cents.... Those little pocket edge tuners really are not great. A half board width scraper is more useful than full.

MEC Ottawa has got most of this stuff: irons, wax, scrapers. Edge bevel guides, files and diamond stones. No Red diamond stones at the moment and no decent base bevel guides.

For wax, go to Sport Mart and ask to buy shop blocks of wax. They have shop blocks of Toko mid range and KUU graphite cold.

Not to highjack the thread, but does anyone know of a Canadian source for The Base Base Bevel Guides? Tons of American places, but they're only $20 so even cheap shipping will nearly double the cost

It talks about 90-85 degree angles. It probably makes lots of sense to some of you, but from what I've read so far... I'm looking for something that will do 1degree base, and something that will do 1 or 2 degree edge. Right? Wow, I still have soo much to read on the subject...
