New Brand "Never Surrender"... I feel bad for Never Summer - Snowboarding Forum

So I was watching the Olympic qualifiers for the Half Pipe tonight (missed it live), and one of the CTV announcers made a blunder.

One of the riders from France, Gary something, was riding a 2011 Never Summer Evo (I think it was the Evo), and during the qualifiers, as he is about to drop into the pipe, the announcer says " And you can see that Gary has the words Never Surrender etched into his board".

Anyway, I feel pretty bad for NS on this. Would have been pretty awesome exposure for them, not to mention the wicked pink/blue glow the boarder put under it on the pipe, and for anyone who really doesn't know boards, they are all searching for "Never Surrender" right now.

Get some announcers who know some stuff about snowboarding! Come on.

the only TV announcer that somewhat knows whats going on is Todd Richards

That's a shame you would think that they might have interviewed and hired some retired/semi retired riders to be announcers to cover this.

I did not hear this but don't usually pay attn to the announcers. Maybe it was Todd Richards or was it the other dude?
