Never Summer Heritage - Snowboarding Forum

so im looking into picking up the 2010/2011 NS HERITAGE next season. is it sold in limited quantity evey year? im not a CO native so will it be hard 2 get if so? im looking for something that i can shred the steeps, pow and back country with but still give alot of pop for kickers and booters in the park. has anybody demo'd next season RC version? im intrested to hear how it stomps out landings compared to other boards. also if some1 could explain the purpose of reverse camber boards haveing both reg camber and rev camber? i have skate nana i use 4 park days so im familiar with rev camber on soft noodle boards but how is it on a sttiff?

Banana is not the same as R.C. that NS uses. Entirely different technologies. And will ride quite a bit different from what i've heard as the banana tends to be very loose and floaty because of its design.

Banana is shaped like a banana(obviously)

Never Summer has some camber in their design..think more like a recurve bow of sorts.

But yea i think the Heritage is always limited quantities, but they are beefing it up with their new Carbonium tech. Theres a PDF of their lineup somewhere here on the forums.

Lib tech's answer to NS's RC is their C2 Power Banana which is more or less the same, although i am sure there are subtle differences to avoid patent infringement. Although i am sure the boards still ride quite differently due to how and whats used to make them, where the carbons put, etc.

I see what ur saying instead of a true reversed camber its just flat in the middle with reg camber on the end... that's diff then skate nana BTX

A friend of mine has this years and loves it. It's actually made him a better rider.
He lives in CO and rides A-Basin and Vail mostly.

Pretty irrelevant to this thread, but I have the regular camber 08/09 version and I love that board. I'd love to try out a rockered one.

Yo. I have a shop in Hermosa Beach and we absolutely crushed it with Never Summer this year. There will be a lot more availability next year than this year because everbody is figuring out they are the best boards on the market. I've been riding for 20 years now and while the competition is doing their best to duplicate the rocker camber they just havent figured it out. Thing is the Never Summer boards are made so much better and they put more material into their boards than other companies are willing to spend. They blow all their funds on their pro riders and Transworld add campaigns and then dump a halfa$$ board on the market for us to ride. Anyways, I am telling my people to pre-order their Never Summer's with us for next season to guarantee they get what they want, so I'd highly recommend that. If you don't have a local shop that will do that for you, shoot me an email to olympusboardshop@yahoo.com and I can give you some details. Whatever you decide, get yourself a Never Summer.
