tunin' w/ skiiers

So I go to college in upstate NY...my school has a great ski program, they have their own lockers, tuning stuff, etc that's paid for by the school. I have several good friends on the team, and I know I can get into the "ski room" to use their stuff, specifically their edge tuning stuff.

My board was recently stolen (bummer but I'm over it). I've managed to dig up my old board but it needs some hardcore work. I know how to wax fine, I don't have much experience with tuning edges though. I'm assuming that edge tuning equipment used for skis would work fine with a board? Are there any items for tuning edges specific for boards?

Any tips appreciated.

Not really anything specific in terms of equipment. The only thing I'd check out is the angles for their bevel guides. Lots of ski racers (which is what I assume your school caters to) prefer more extreme angles for their base and side edges...like 2 degree base and 3-4 degree sides. Just check to see if they have 1 and 2 degree base and side bevel guides. Other than that, the files, stones, etc. are all the same.
