Well I just got a new board.. It's a burton blunt 162. I'm about 5'9 and 175 pounds. I will be riding mainly park. I could trade it for a 159 and i was wondering if it will make that much of a difference to trade the 162 in for a 159. So how much of a difference will 3 centimeters make? Thanks

The Blunt is only available in 162 as the Blunt Wide. Is that what you have? What size foot do you have. What stance angles? What stance width? Going longer does make sense with rocker but even with the Blunt's V rocker, 162 is long for your spec as a park board. The 156 would be a better fit if you require the width.

yeah i have the blunt wide. I have size 11.5 feet and I ride with my binding all the way out at 15 degrees. also i forgot to add that i'm 14 still growing and this board will need to last me for a year or two.

156 is plenty and will give you room for growth in foot size and weight. If it is for mostly park that will be perfect.

Yeah I bought it at REI and I don't think the people who work there know what they are talking about...

The 156 is wide, with a 25.8 waist (only .4 cm narrower than the 162 Wide) and will still work well at size 13.

You are looking for a board that will be the most fun today and that will also work into the future. That is a tall order. I would look for the perfect fit and would not settle based on what the store has in stock. Others may disagree with my sizing advice, but I would return it and order from a company that has the 156 Wide.
