What bindings for the Ride Machete? - Snowboarding Forum

I am 6 feet, 190lbs and wear 12s. I was thinking about the 157w but I dont rly like the violet in it so I dont know... But neway, could you suggest me a size of the Ride Machete and a pair of bindings to buy? Ty.

158 atleast with rome targa bindings.

check out evogear.com they have a machete and ride contraband binding package for a little over 400. my friend just got his and loves the bindings. says they're awkward but its really comfortable haha

I would go with Deltas, NRCs, Alphas, Contrabands, or Nitranes, Rome 390s/Targas, or K2 formulas

You can't go wrong pairing the machete with one of ride's higher end bindings. I'm using forces on my machete and its like riding on a cloud.

For a little comparison I'm 5'10, 205 lbs and ride a 155 machete. If you don't like the violet on the 157W, you could opt for the 158. A 1cm difference won't be noticeable and if you ride with a ducked stance, you should be able to fit your size 12's on there. The waist width of the 158 is 24.9. Keep in mind that these decks have a pretty aggressive sidecut, meaning that this measurement taken at the center is the skinniest width. The deck gets quite a bit wider where your bindings will mount.

What about the Ride Machete 158 and the Ride RX bindings. Could it fit well?

I have a 155 Machete with the white 2010 RX bindings and they work fine for me...and it matches.
