Size 11, do I need a wide board?

Looking to purchase my first board, I have rented a few times but I'm not sure if my board was a "wide".

Think I'm going to get the burton blunt 158-159 board if that males a difference. Thanks for any help, I have not picked out what boot yet.

Correct me if i am wrong but with a 11 boot you'll want a waist of like 255mm for zero toe over hang. On sierraboards they say the 158 blunt has a waist of 255 so i think your ok with a regular board=D

ok thanks, most of the blunts that are 159 are all (wide), looks like the 158 is the standard. Last time out I was on a 160 and did great, will 2cm smaller really make a difference?

You'll notice quicker edge to edge transfer with a narrower board. With an 11 I'd go with something 25.3-25.6 nothing more.
