I've been lurking for awhile now, but thought I would seek some counsel. I've thinking about picking up a Machete, but not sure about the size. I've never ridden anything less than a 160. I weigh about 190lbs with 10.5 boots. I'm sure a 155 will be fine for slow speed stuff, but will I be able to carve with it or is 155 too short? I would probably go with a 158 if the store near me had one, but they don't. Anyone in the 190lb range riding a 155? If so, how does it handle higher speed stuff?

155 is gonna be a good size for a play stick for you... But if you want something that will do bigger things like riding comfortably in chop and going all over the mountain your not going to want to be under a 160...
I personally weigh 190 right now and range from 175ish to 200 and I ride a 155 for my play stick and a 162 for my freestyle/all mountain stick. A 155 is likely to work your ass off if you try to take it all over the hill and will be hard to ride in the deep white |

Thanks for the replies. You kinda confirmed what I was thinking. I'm looking for it to be playful, but also be a bit more flexible than what it sounds like it will be. I may still give it a shot, but I'm gonna have to consider a bit more closely if I want something geared that much towards playtime. Thanks again.
