factory wax is good for a few days of riding but you can give a nice hot wax if youd like cause it wont hurt and what kind of riding are you doing? you can file the tip and tail and be fine and if your doing park you can file a bit of the contact points but then it takes away from going down the runs and carving on icy surfaces

Just remember its a sintered base...so you do need to maintain it a bit better with waxing more often than extruded boards...
