Anyone riding this board? My dude just got this board, taking it out on Friday for the first time. Specifically, how does the synthduded base compare to a sintered base? And how does this base absorb/hold wax? Thanks!

Little softer doesn't hold wax as well. I gave up waxing my Omatic with it and just hit rocks instead.

One thing I noticed about my Riot, which has a sinistered base, is that the edges and the raised sections of the tip and tail burn through wax really fast. The middle of the board and the flat sections of the tip and tail hold wax just fine. I wonder if I should be applying cold temp wax to the edges so the wax will stay longer.

So how did he like the Omni? I used mine for more of a powder board because of the 25mm setback, so only got to bust it out a few times this season. It was great in those conditions though, didn't bog, no leg burn, and nice surfy turns. Haven't heard much about the board from others, unlike the really popular ones in Bataleon's line, so interested to hear his impressions.
