I don't think you will spin faster given the same amount to "windup" and power you use to trow yourself in a spin. However, you can make your board spin faster because you increase the leverage you feet has on the board.

If you put you feet together and try to use your arms to throw yourself in a spin, you will rotate more than if your legs are spread out because there's more "rotational inertia" with your legs out.

But once you are in a rotation or whatever, a wider stance lets you move the board around independent of your body so you can easily boardslide, changeup, 270 out, etc.

Of course if it's too wide...you might lose some control and comfort.

You will spin a little slower. I actually narrowed mine from 24 to 23 because its a lot easier to 3 off rails and such.

it doesnt necessarily make you spin all that much faster. wider stances give you more leverage so its easier to get the board to rotate with your body. you can also balance on rails better because theres more room for error before your body is no longer centered over the rail or box. however, if you set it TOO wide it makes it harder to ollie and spin and you legs will cramp up faster. i keep mine just a little past shouldler width and havent had any problems. in short...faster, no...easier, yes which allows you then become faster. but i guess in a roundabout way that does mean you will spin faster. i just confused myself hahaha

i think wider stances accompanied by duck footed bindings just makes everything better.

later dude.
