All mountain - freeride - wide board. Need recommendation!

Hi Guys,
I have a Lib Tech Mullet 165 (camber, not the new rocker one) that I bought a couple of years ago to ride Pow in Mammoth. The board is so good and rips on the groomers too.
But sometimes I wish it had a bit more flex, were a little shorter, and were a bit more playful. So I started looking for an all-mountain board that I can trust will ride powder up to 1ft. I would keep the mullet just for deeper powder days, 1ft+.

Have been vary curious on the new camber/rocket boards and found some options that have a wide version.

I am 6,1 ft, 185lbs, 12 boot size.

These are the ones I think might work:
- Never Summer Legacy-R
- Nitro Team Gullwing (although i heard some reviews referring to it as all mountain FREESTYLE??)
- Lib Tech Travis Rice C2 banana power - Altough I am worried 26cm of waist width might not be wide enough.
- Nidecker Megalight

Any other suggestions? How do they compare?

I will get one between 161 and 163

I really appreciate your input here.

Thanks

So you do your riding at Mammoth? The C2 Rice sounds like a good choice, I think the waist would be wide enough. Can you wait until next year? Because the Jeremy Jones freeride boards are looking sick...

Yes, mostly Mammoth. But many times I don't get lucky to get fresh powder and thhen have to go look for it in trees and so on, and I don't need the Mullet for it.

So, this Jeremy Jones is coming out next year?

Thanks

I guess that's what you are talking about

I was thinking of taking advantage of some of the current sales to get my board, but if it proves worth it, I could wait longer.

My $0.02...

The boards I was gonna recommend, Leggy and TRice C2, you've already got on your list. I've ridden both and the Rice is a bit stiffer than the Legacy, and is definitely a bit more aggressive on the edges with Magnetraction. That said, I think it'd be a great board for what you're looking for. I went with the Legacy and I love it, but I ride Big Bear mainly, so something that was a bit more flexy was better for me.

Both are solid, solid performers and great boards, and you can probably score a deal deal on either one right now. My buddy just picked up a TRiceC2 for $350 out the door last week!!

EDIT: BTW, I wear size 13 boots and neither board presented any issues with drag.

A dream is what you wanna do, but still haven't pursued.
I know what I want and am doing it 'till it's done,
so I've been the dream I wanted to be since day one.

The T Rice is a bit stiffer than the Snow Mullet actually so...

I have read the rocker all the way for pow. You can ride this shorter and not have to lift the nose.

The C2 is a compromise between rocker and camber...so it will have more pop and be able to carve better on hard snow.

You might be comparing to the new Mullet, which is rocker. Mine is the one from like 2 or 3 years ago and it's camber.

I imagine the T rice C2 being camber/rocker will be more flexible

PS: where did your friend get the T rice?

Thanks for the tips

According to this...the present T Rice is 7 and the Snow Mullet is 6.5. I'm not sure how the C2 changes the flex profile, but considering that the Dark Series is 7.5, that prolly means that the T Rice is a pretty stiff board.

Take that Gullwing off your list. It's way too soft for you. Their Pantera Wide would be a better option. Also checkout the Bataleon Jam Wide, Arbor Roundhouse.
