Default Help! I want a reverse camber board

i've been looking at picking up a reverse camber board after demoing a custom v rocker.

the three that keep coming up are the capita indoor FK, skate banana and the custom v-rocker.

does anyone have experience on the naner and or the indoor FK?

any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

there is a lot of banana-hate on these forums, so a lot of answers might be biased against it...and toward neversummer, even though its not on your list. so its up to me to fix this.

BANANA

I picked up my banana at the beginning of the season and have loved it so far. plus its got magna-traction which help a ton on icy days. if you go through the park or are into ground tricks at all you wont go wrong putting a banana between your feet.

I don't hate the banana, I just see a lot of people buying into the hype and buying the wrong board because of it.

The Skate Banana is pretty much a pure park board. You can lap some groomers with it, but as far as all-mountain use, it's pretty limited beyond that compared to some other boards on the market. I just think people are better suited with a different board unless you're a pure park rat or just want to butter all day. If I was a park rat, I'd probably have a SB.

There are a lot of different variations of rockered or alternative camber boards. You should also check out the Never Summer rocker/camber tech. It's pretty much the best of both worlds!

That's not true. The Skate Banana is softer in the shorter models but as it goes up it becomes a pretty stiff board. It's just that it's true twin that's all...and not many people can ride twin and still buy it...maybe in hopes to learn switch? But if you're that small, it's prolly not THAT soft for you anyway. If you want a more direction "equivalent" the TRS is like the SB but a bit stiffer and leans more toward the all mountain spectrum. But park ratting isn't what the Skate Banana is best at.

from what i've heard the skate banana does pretty well all mountain. i was just riding last weekend with a buddy who was rocking it, and it looked like he was having a great time buttering and pressing everything. i got jealous on my door frame (Rome agent) and now i'm looking for revenge.

i like the indoor survival as well -- i'm 5'10 210 lbs you think the 160 would be too big/small? what would the size recommendation be?

Skatebanana's this decades leg bags. It's a park board straight up don't even try to argue that point it's what its designed for and other than having the greatest marketing known to man it's a pile of shit. Yeah I've ridden it yeah I hated it.

Pretty much. I was trying to be nice, but that pretty well sums it up. I've only been on the SB once and didn't care for it at all. Now, keep in mind, I'm a freeride/freestyle rider and rarely if ever dip into the park, so I was asking the SB to do pretty much the opposite of what it was designed to do and it predictably fell flat on it's face.
