Default Ordered a Supermodel X

pulled the trigger on this board. Its burtons last yr of production for this model.

It should get it in 2-3 days. I really want to try this board out before the season ends but ill just wait til next yr. I dont want to ruin the nice wax job that burton has on their boards while riding on spring conditions ex: branches, twigs, dirt, crud etc

I rode my freshly waxed custom x this weekend for 2 hours...and I dunno what happened, but the base looks like the wax was not scraped properly and picked up a shit load of dirt and grime. Looks so gross. I guess I REALLy have to clean it now.

yes i was serious. This will be my 4th burton board and i can really say that the wax that comes straight out of the factory is not only durable, its fast as hell.

were u riding in spring conditions?? looks like it from what u said about the dirt and grime.
a couple of factors may come into play. Bad choice of wax. Improper scraping (like u said) and also maybe the wax wasnt fully absorbed.

not sure what it was, didnt do the wax job myself. It looks like the wax wasn't scraped off completely because there looks to be a layer of wax that has a bunch of grimes jammed into it all over the base. Certain spots are ripped off clean to my real base, but most of it is caked on.
