Question about wider board

I am about to pull a trigger on a third board for my first ever season haha

I wear a size 11 boot, burton hail sometimes SLX, and I wonder if getting a wide board should be okay or not? the board i'm looking at is an heritage-XR 159 or legacy-r 159

any binding suggestions and board comment is really really appreciated,

Thanks a lot guys

Are you experiencing a lot of toe or heel drag? If thats causing you to wipe out then yeah go wide. You might notice a sluggish edge to edge response on a wide tho. But you will float in pow way better. Heres hoping for another powder day or two this season.
