Look I've tried the best I could without resorting to making a redundant thread but there are too many conflicting sizing charts. One will give me 152 while the other one 154 bla bla.
Do you guys know of a reliable sizing chart? I wanna get a Capita FK board for the park, but wondering if 152 will do better than 154, 156 - and is it worth the greater all mountain handicap? (note that I already have a Nitro Pantera 160 for all mtn) 5'8 - 160 lbs - boot 9.5 Planning on buying off ebay real soon which explains my impatience .Many thanks!! |

At your weight and height I think it's a tossup between the 154 and 156. But it's a matter of preference if you're looking for a park board...some people prefer a short board. I don't think you're going to select a size between those choices and go, "crap I got the wrong size." I ride a 155 FK and I'm 5'-7" 190lbs but it's my park board...I prefer my 158 for all-mtn.

As mentioned above, either the 154 or 156 will probably be fine. It just depends on how short you are comfortable going. What kind of park will you be riding? Jumps, boxes and rails, pipe? |

I have my eyes set on a 154 Indoor Survival and the SScope 152. (Sierra is out of 152, I'm assuming they'll make some next year) |

I'd say get the 152 at your size if you want to be doing butters and what not so you can flex it easier.
At your weight a typical all mtn board is a 154-156....

Hey guys, sorry to hijack this thread, but I figured it'd be better to post my question here rather than start a new thread that is similar...
I am in the market for a park board (that can do all-mountain also). I am planning on getting a Lib Tech TRS BTX. I'm unsure of what size to get for a park board. Here's a little bit about me: 5'10" 165 lbs Size 10 boot Current board: Forum Recon (158cm) I currently just freeride/all-mountain with my Forum Recon. I know you are supposed to go down in size for park boards, but I want to use the Lib Tech TRS BTX for some all-mountain riding as well. The type of riding I plan on doing with this board is some small/medium jumps, 180's, buttering, and hittin up a few boxes. No rails or big air really. Nothing too crazy, since I am just learning how to ride park. The range of sizes this board comes in are 151, 154, 157, and 159. I was thinking I should go with the 154, but was concerned that it would be too short for riding the occasional all-mountain? I want to learn how to butter more than anything and hit small jumps. Should I just go with a 154? What do you guys think? Thanks in advance! -Mike Last edited by RiceyHot; 03-31-2010 at 12:26 PM. |
