Summer storage

Ok so I've got a brand new board that's never been used before and I won't be using it until next season. I planned on just keeping it in the plastic shrinkwrap that it was shipped in, but it happened to get torn when I was bringing it home from my dorm the other day. I'm just wondering if I should still leave it the partially torn shrinkwrap, take off the shrinkwrap and do nothing, or get it waxed (I've read that that's what you're supposed to do before you put it away for summer)? Like I said, never before used, still has factory wax on it.

Just have them put a storage wax on it so the wax coats the edges that way they won't rust. Next season scrape it off and go shred.

Angry Snowboarder Because someone has to call it how they see it!
