If the board was in the store for a good bit the rest of the base would have looked slightly lighter in comparison to where the sticker was(only if while in storage it was displayed in sunlight). The sticker would have protected the area from fading if it was stored or displayed near sunlight. Was just a small chance and would have given good proof it was new and unused, but the fact there is no discoloration does not mean it was used either.

Long story short I saw it on one of my display boards for my shop.

Board does look brand new so ride it and have fun.

Most of those scratches just look like scrapes in the factory wax so you are fine.

The season is almost upon us!!!!

Not all boards will have stickers on the base. And you shouldn't be concerned with tiny scratch marks as you will scratch it up much more when riding. Minor dings are part of handling the board in stock. The plastic sheet helps, but after you use it, it will look much worse. Sometimes even a new board has been "mounted" to display or fitted to a customer. It doesn't ruin the board in any way. Even if someone DID take it for a "test run", that's like ONE run out of hundreds that you will use it for.
