NS Evo-R vs. Sierrascope

I'm a big fan of NS, but I have to admit, that Sierrascope at $200 new is really tempting me.

I currently ride a 08/09 NS Heritage and I'm looking for something softer and more playful. The new board would probably become my go-to board with the Heritage reserved for days I just feel like bombing.

With that said, the board will see a little bit of everything from powder to bowls, to groomers, to jumps. I don't do much in the way of rails and don't envision that changing much.

So, bottom line is I can get a new 156 Sierrascope for $200 or a slightly used (essentially like new condition) 158 NS Evo-R for $300.

What says the crowd?

Evo is going to be the better test of time stick I think..

It's really hard to pass up on the $200 Sierrascope though. I honestly feel the Evo is going to be a better stick overall in the end, so the $100 more would be well spent if you can find one in good shape.

Might wait till summer time and pick up an Evo for even less, that's my opinion.

I can't give you a specific breakdown of each as my feet are to big for both boards. However I have ridden a Revolver, and own a Horrorscope.

And from those are how I've put together my reply to you

I'm afraid to wait. I already can't find a 09/10 158 Evo for anything much less than full retail.

Saw a Sierrascope snapped in half length wise today that was pretty amusing never seen a deck do that before.

That's my biggest hang up on Capita - durability. I've seen too many Capita's take damage from stuff that my NS would've laughed at. I'd ridden my Heritage across what amounted to damn near boulder fields and it has yet to take significant damage.

Cool. I'm buying the NS. I pretty much knew that already, but was just looking for extra confirmation to reassure myself of letting go of the extra benjamin.

I'm still new to this whole park thing and hitting larger and larger jumps. The last thing I need to worry about is my board blowing up underneath me when I land sketch.

Did someone run the nose of it into something really hard?

Pics? That is a pretty interesting situation

I couldn't find an impact on it except on the other side from where it occurred. It was just the weirdest looking thing if I have the camera on me tomorrow I'll snap a photo of it.

Also if you're looking for a fuck around soft NS deck look at the Circuit R it's actually a pretty solid deck for riding around the mountain I've owned 2 and was surprised at what you could do with that deck.
