an apo board damaged but refixed..

i want to buy a board but cant pay much , so a guy that has the shop showed me an apo board. i forgot what is it exactly its all white with a small logo.its damaged from the front coz it fell from the top of the slope without a rider and crashed to a tree , so he fixed it nicely with black plastic the damage zone on the top is less than 3 or 4 cms, So do you think that this cann effect the board's overall performance? or just ruined its look? and what do u think about apo snowboards..? thanks in advance..
