Just got new board, size concern.

Hey.

Just got a Sierra Reverse Crew 155 cm and it goes above my chin. I'm 170 cm and weigh 143lbs, and I'm wondering if this board is too large for me to enjoy it?
I'm an intermediate rider, lots of park planned for next season. Was considering return it for a 151 cm board instead, but not sure if it's gonna make a big difference. The board is ultra light compared to my old no-name 9 year old piece of crap.

Any advice?

The board's length should be based off of your weight, not your height.

I am 145 lbs, and have a 155 Reverse Crew as well. I don't do any park at all, just free riding. According to the size calculator you should have gone with the 151 cm for park. But it might not matter much if you find the board light enough.

Yea, that is kind of large especially if your looking to ride a lot of park. Don't get me wrong though, it is possible to ride that size for you, it will just be slightly tougher. I'd suggest you get a board around 151

+1...and riding style (park, freeride, chest deep powder, etc.)

Isn't the crew a freeride, directional board? If this is the case, this may not be the best board for park.

And yeah, based on your weight, the board may be a bit too big.

The Crew is different than the Reverse Crew. Crew is regular camber, and the Reverse Crew is Reverse Camber I think.

I think its a directional twin so it probably won't be that bad. And OP, for your weight, 155 is manageable in the park, but if you can return it without much hassle, get a 151. You could even probably get away with something even shorter, but I don't think the reverse crew comes that small.
