Reaching out for some professional advice on board selection. This was my first season of riding and rode mostly east coast with one multi-day trip to Colorado. Not sure how I can ride east coast again after being out west but I digress. I had the pleasure of riding about 20 times this year and needless to say I am hooked.
I used a Burton Un.Inc probably 2007/2008 range. 158cm with Co2 bindings that I received from a friend. I was told it is more of a park board than all mountain. Needless to say this year I was not in the park much.
anyway, I would like to keep that board intact and get a new setup. I am 160lbs about 5'7.. I have no problem linking turns, holding edges etc. The speed is still taking some getting used to, I find myself speeding up then checking quite often.. Next season I want to open up.. I was looking for a great board and bindings that would compliment me. I like to cruise and really have no interest yet in park.. I want something stable, that allows for control.. As far as binding go, something similar to the quality of the CO2.. I know of nothing else but imagine I would notice something shittier if I tried it..
I rode my buddies Custom last day of season this year and liked it but I am not married to Burton by any stretch.. any suggestions would be appreciated. I see some deals out there but do not want to jump.
